Abstract is of land sold at Danville and Palestine prior to opening of Northeastern Land District Office. Abstract was compiled June 22, 1850, by General Land Office at request of Register at Chicago. Entries for each tract sold include date of sale, Receiver's receipt number, name of purchaser, legal description of tract and number of acres. Occasionally included is date patent canceled.
